Daniel is a graduate of Northwestern University, where he studied musical theatre and voice performance. Eager to become a versatile artist and entrepreneur, Daniel later returned to Northwestern for business school at Kellogg School of Management.
After graduating from Kellogg in 2018, Daniel moved to Shanghai, China, where he founded Elite Scholar Advising (ESA), a college admissions consulting business serving both STEM and arts applicants to US and UK universities.
Simultaneously, Daniel performed regularly in China as the resident singer at Ce La Vi, and through the iSing Festival China Tour in collaboration with the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra. He also directed and music directed over 20 shows for youth and adults with organizations including Sunrise Art Group, iStage Academy, West East Art (WEArt), and TheaTree.
Daniel brought Elite Scholar Advising to the States in 2022 and split his time between Los Angeles and Shanghai before moving permanently to New York in 2025. He continues to perform while maintaining a career in the college admissions world.
